Alamo Colleges Foundation focuses on helping students through scholarships — life-changing gifts that help students come in and stay in and achieve their dreams of a college education. Scholarship eligibility is based on various factors such as academic merit, program of study, community service, extracurricular activities, residency, campus/club organization, and/or financial need. Foundation scholarships are awarded and administered without regard to race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin. All students are invited to apply for available scholarships.

You will submit one General Scholarship Application to be considered for all Alamo Colleges Foundation Scholarships.

2026-2027 General Scholarship Application:
Applies to Enrollment for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and/or Summer 2027 semesters
Opens: February 15, 2026
Closes: May 15, 2026

The scholarship application will reopen for a limited time in September, allowing new applicants to access and apply for any remaining opportunities for the current academic year.

Application Reopens: September 1, 2026
Application Closes: September 10, 2026

Additional scholarship opportunities may arise, each with their own requirements and deadlines. These will be listed below throughout the academic year. All students (domestic, international or DACA) are invited to apply for the scholarships available. Scholarship eligibility is based on various factors such as academic merit, financial need, program of study, community service, extracurricular activities, residency, and/or participation in campus clubs or organizations.

If you are a previous applicant or want to be considered for a scholarship renewal, you must apply again for 2026-2027 academic year funding.

Please note that you are required to be enrolled or admitted at the Alamo Colleges to apply for scholarships on this website. Incoming students will start the admission process by completed their ApplyTexas application at www.applytexas.org to receive your ACES credentials.

Next steps:

• Once you submit your scholarship application, you will receive confirmation to your ACES email certifying you have successfully submitted your application.
• Scholarship recipient selections begin after the application deadline and continue throughout the academic year.
• Students selected to receive a scholarship will be notified through ACES email and will be required to accept their award within two weeks of notification.
• To be considered for any need based scholarships, complete and submit the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/ or the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) to qualify (see the financial aid office for more information).
