Toyota Dealer Technician Workforce Pipeline Scholarship

To be considered for a Toyota Dealer Technician Workforce Pipeline Scholarship, applicants must:
a) Work as an intern or be employed in good standing with a Gulf States Toyota dealership in San Antonio, Texas;
b) Enroll or plan to attend Alamo Colleges-St. Philip’s College full-time (min. 12 hrs.) to pursue an Associate Degree or Certificate – Automotive Technologies emphasis;
c) Complete the Alamo Colleges foundation scholarship application;
d) Complete the student applicant section on the Toyota Dealer Technician Workforce Pipeline Scholarship Certification Form provided by the service manager at participating dealerships. (Alamo Colleges Foundation will provide Gulf States Toyota dealerships a Toyota Dealer Technician Workforce Pipeline Scholarship Certification Form to confirm students’ employment. The form will also allow for service managers at participating dealerships to rate interns based on their abilities to work with Gulf States Toyota dealerships.)

Initial awards of the Toyota Dealer Technician Workforce Pipeline Scholarship will be for the cost of tuition, fees, books, tools/equipment/materials or other educational expenses, not to exceed $500 per semester. Awards will be applied to the students’ Alamo Colleges accounts. A scholarship award is renewable for up to three subsequent semesters, subject to funds availability, if the recipient maintains eligibility as stated above, maintains satisfactory progress toward graduation or transfer and continues to be recommended by Gulf States Toyota. The number of scholarship awards will depend on the amount of funds available in the Toyota Dealer Technician Workforce Pipeline Scholarship fund.
